Maggie Dickson has been volunteering at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) for over 30 years. She is currently a curatorial volunteer in the botany section of the Department of Natural History. I had the pleasure of documenting Maggie's work with Deborah Metsger, Assistant Curator of Botany at the ROM. Maggie comes in every Monday to database and catalog the Botany slide collection, and was currently working on the John Lott's slides during our meeting. At approximately 45,000 slides, this project had already taken her eighteen-months at that point. Maggie's dedication to the slide collection supports a number of curatorial initiatives, as well as creating the Botany cards for the gift shop that are still sold today.
